"JOHN DEACON
John, born on August 19, 1951, acquired excelletn academic qualifications before proving himself a superior bass player and
songwriter. He studied electronics at Chelsea College and subsequently obtained a first class honours degree. His contribution to
Queen's performance includes incidental vocals as well as writing. On stage John alternates between two bass guitars: his preference
being a Fender Precision which he has stripped to its natural wood and customized with a maple neck.
He also plays electric piano, often featured on his own tracks. John has a mutual interest with Brian in photography and, due to his
extensive academic achievements in electronics, has always shown an interest in the technical side of things."
