"Peter Criss Peter Criss' nickname in KISS is 'Catman,' and it's certainly a title that well suits the band's dynamic drummer. Peter appears onstage complete with makeup of black whiskers and a silvery button nose - an image considerably toughened by the bandoliers that cross his chest. Peter's talents were discovered by Gene and Paul soon after they founded KISS, when he advertised in the classifieds as being a drummer 'who'd do anything to make it!' His addition to KISS was a wise choice and the solo Peter performs on his rising drum platform is one of the KISS show's most stellar effects. Peter became KISS' first married member when he wed Lydia, and then wrote the band's #1 single 'Beth' for her." |
