"Roger Taylor Roger, Queen's drummer, was born on July 26, 1949, and spent his school days in Truro, Cornwall. He then came to London and studied dentistry at the London Hospital Medical College but left before completing his course in favour of taking a biology degree. Roger is as talented a singer as he is a drummer - the cathedral choir in Truro witnessed infant notes from an amazing vocal range that was to become one of Queen's most striking features. On stage he plays a drum kit consisting of a vast array of percussion. Roger uses a guitar for songwriting and acknowledges the influences of Hendrix and Lennon, as well as Hank Marvin and David Bowie." |
