Learning of the highly sensitive hearing power of the Mercurians, Earth scientists order broadcasting stations to turn on ultra high frequency whistles. The high pitched frequency becomes a deafening roar to the men from Mercury. The Mercurians lose all their reasoning powers and are forced to flee to maintain their sanity. Earth is victorious. |
