| Joe has seen and also written a good deal of pop music history. Starting back in the 1920's he was with a famous Kansas City jazz group and helped popularize what was then a new type of music. In 1938, Joe appeared with Benny Goodman, Count Basie, and other great names and started the trend to Boogie Woogie music. With Atlantic Records, his popular platters have made him a top name in Rhythm & Blues. |
