| Always interested in music, Jimmie sang, taught himself the guitar, and learned to play the piano as a youngster. When the Korean War broke out, Jimmie joined the Air Corps and saw 4 years of service. When he returned he worked at logging camps and picked up folk songs. Jimmie walked into the Roulette Record office one day and started to sing. The result was "Honeycomb" which quickly zoomed to the top. |
