| Johnny was a big star before he ever recorded a song - a star high jumper, that is. On the West Coast, he set track records by flying over the cross bar at 6 feet 5 1/2 inches and was one of the greatest San Francisco high school athletes of all time. Johnny began his singing career in night clubs and was soon signed by Columbia. His recording of "It's Not For Me To Say" proved that he was on his way to his second stardom. |
