| When Charlie was only 16 years old he was a five time winner on Paul Whiteman's Teenage TV Show. After high school graduation he appeared on Philadelphia TV and radio shows and compiled a long list of successful night club engagements. In January 1957, Charlie reached the top with his sensational recording of "Butterfly." In a short time, the platter had zoomed past the million mark. |
