| Gene's 'rockabilly' style has taken the teenagers by storm. His record of "Lotta Loving" is a juke box and disk jockey favorite. When Gene was 17, he wanted to see the world and joined the Navy. After his discharge, he started singing and won a contest in his home town, Norfolk, Virginia. He was top man out of 200 competitors. Gene's unique style and expert guitar plucking won him a Capitol recording contract. |
