| Della's sensational recording of "And That Reminds Me" zoomed her into prominence as one of the top female vocalists. Originally a gospel singer, she was with the famous Mahalia Jackson and Clara Ward Singers before forming her own group. As a Wayne University student, Della studied psychology, but decided on singing as her life's work. She is one of the very few singers who can sing pops, blues, as well as jazz. |
