| Nat became friends with music at an early age. In Chicago, his father was a church pastor and his mother was choir director. Nat quickly learned the piano from her and as a high school youngster formed his own band. When he recorded the "Christmas Song" in '48 Nat became the No. 1 singer in the country and has stayed on top. His platter, "Nature Boy" was the biggest selling record Capitol ever waxed. |
