| La Vern is the unofficial U.S. Ambassador of Song. She has toured almost all over the world, making friends for the USA, and rhythm and blues music. Starting in nightclubs when she was 17, La Vern later toured as vocalist for a number of bands. While in Detroit she met a young singer and taught him to sing the blues. His name was Johnny Ray. La Vern's record of "Tweedlee Dee" heads her long list of smash hits. |
