| Snake River Canyon, near Twin Falls, Idaho, is a huge and forbidding challenge for Evel Knievel. The daredevil stunt driver leased some 300 acres along the north rim of the canyon, a spot about 100 feet deep and three-quarters of a mile across, which calls for a total jump of just under a mile. |
